After waiting and waiting Keane made their second show in Argentina. This is how it was...
Time goes by and a lot of people arrived at the Club Ciudad De Buenos Aires. Keane was going to play there in a couple of hours! Banda De Turistas was great, but people didn´t like very much No Lo Soporto. The gig was going to start at 9 p.m. but started 15 minutes later... but Keane was there!
The 30.000 people jump and sing with the opening track: The Lovers Are Losing and, later, Tom speaking spanish (he has progresed a lot!) said some nice things to the crowd. 20 tracks and an 1 hour and 45 minutes Keane played in Buenos Aires, including a cover from Queen, Under Pressure. People were really excited, as well as the band was. An excelent gig, excelent band, and an excelent time out there.
The setlist was very different from the one of 2007, but the gig was as great, amazing, awesome and brilliant as that one. "This is a lovely country, a beautiful place, but nothing is compared as lovely people" said Tom Chaplin. "Because of that we´ll be back very soon" adds.
It was an incredible time, with the people dancing, shouting, singing, clapping and jumping with Keane songs. It was the second big concert Keane has ever made (the first one was also here, in Argentina, at Quilmes Rock). Tom´s voice was beautiful, Tim Rice-Oxley and Richard Hughes were brilliant and Mr. Jesse Quin was incredibly good, also. Wish they enjoy the gig as much as I did...
"Esta es una cancion de prrrrrrotesta" said Tom while they started playing Perfect Symmetry, a lovely song. He speaks spanish very well. When he was going to sing "Playing Along" everyone started to sing him a "Happy birthday" in spanish, wich he answered saying: "Don´t know what that means" and, at that moment, they start again singing his birthday in english, wich he enmidiatly appreciate and said: "You´ve got right, tomorrow it´s my birthday, thank you so much... Thank you, really".
