CLUB DATES ANNOUNCED AMIDST FOREST SHOWS
After selling out their entire six-date June 2010 forest tour, Keane have announced plans to intersperse the tour with shows at club venues in London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Dublin.

Says Tim: "The forest shows we're playing in June will be big, glorious singalongs, but we wanted to play some more sweaty and intimate gigs along the way." He added, "We figured out the other day that we haven't played in Birmingham since February 2007. Birmingham was one of the first cities to really embrace Keane - in fact, we think it was the scene of our first sold out show - so it's about time we got back there."

The dates are as follows:

15th June - The Roundhouse, London
16th June - Academy, Birmingham
21st June - Barrowlands, Glasgow
23rd June - Olympia, Dublin

Tickets for the new shows will go on sale at 9.30am on Wednesday April 14th, via a pre-sale on the official website, www.keanemusic.com/tickets.

NEW 8-TRACK EP ANNOUNCED
Keane have announced details of a new EP, titled Night Train, which will be released globally on 10th May 2010. It features eight powerful new tracks which were written and recorded during the Perfect Symmetry world tour. The EP takes its title from the band's favoured mode of transport during the tour and includes Keane's genre-busting collaborations with Somali/Canadian rapper K'Naan, 'Stop For A Minute' and 'Looking Back'. "I think those tracks show us in a completely different light," says Tom.

Due for release on CD and download, the Night Train EP will be available to pre-order through keanemusic.com, from Wednesday 2nd December. Click here for more info and to check out the artwork.

FOREST TOUR - PRESALE STARTS WEDNESDAY
The band have also announced plans for a summer tour of forests in 2010, including a homecoming show at the Bedgebury Pinetum, just outside the band's hometown of Battle, East Sussex. Dates are as follows:

18th June - Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire

BBC Radio 1 are currently having a Live Lounge Battle, where various bands' cover versions recorded for the station are competing against each other to become the Live Lounge Champion. We're pleased to report that Keane's November 2004 terrific cover of U2's With Or Without You (which is on the Deluxe Edition) beat covers by Taio Cruz and Goldfrapp this week, to go through to the next round. To celebrate, we're asking you to make a video for the songs on the album that don't currently have a video. We'd like your films to be imaginative, creative, original and interesting. They can be made using any medium - from film to animation - but they must be entirely your own work and we'd prefer them not to include pictures or film of Keane. HOPES AND FEARS DELUXE EDITION ANNOUNCED
We're pleased to announce the full international release of a 2CD Deluxe Edition of Keane's first album, Hopes And Fears, on 9th November 2009. In addition to the original tracklisting, this album showcases previously un-released and rare material including early demo Into The Light, recordings from the band's earliest Steve Lamacq and Jo Whiley radio sessions, the timeless B-side and fans' favourite, Snowed Under (from Somewhere Only We Know), and their debut self-released singles. A few weeks ago, we asked readers on keanemusic.com to send in their questions for the band. Those answers were collected together by Chris and Andrew from the excellent Keane fan podcast Beyond The Iron Sea and put to the band in their dressing room at V Festival. WORLD TOUR SCREEN PRINTS ON SALE
We added a very special product to the official Keane Store this week. The limited edition Perfect Symmetry World Tour screen prints were hand-pulled on 250 gsm deckled edge Somerset velvet paper size 76cm x 56cm. They feature a silver and white triangles print based on the band's current touring backdrop. Clear glazed over the top of the print is every live date the band performed during the Perfect Symmetry World Tour (from the London Forum right up to and including their current Canadian dates). The prints are hand numbered and printed in a very limited run of 100. As an additional bonus, 10 of the prints have been autographed by the band and will be randomly dispatched to purchasers. LIVE BLOGGING AT V FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND
This weekend, Keane are headlining the 4Music stage at one of the UK's biggest music festivals, V Festival. The event takes place at two sites - in Chelmsford and Staffordshire - and keanemusic.com will be tagging along, blogging live for the whole weekend. We'll be boarding the band's tourbus at lunchtime on Saturday, then posting regular updates and pictures for the next 36 hours. We hope you'll be able to join us for the ride.

TOM AUCTIONS GOLD JACKET FOR HIS DAD'S CHARITY
Last week, Tom announced to the keanemusic.com massive that he's auctioning the Christian Dior gold jacket he wore on this year's UK arena tour. The proceeds will go to Rwanda Aid, the charity which Tom's dad has run for the last few years. Click here to read a heartfelt sales pitch from Tom and to see a picture of the jacket. The auction closes tomorrow evening and bidding is already up to a whopping £6,000. If that's a bit beyond your price range, but you've got a few quid to spare, you can always click the link in Tom's message to give Rwanda Aid a small (but very much appreciated) donation.

N.AMERICAN TOUR COVERAGE ON KM.COM
As you may well know, Keane are currently in the US, a few dates into their North America tour. They've been keeping us well up to date with their progress, thanks to Richard's typically ace photoblog, plus a new addition to the km.com arsenal BethCam - in which Keane's PA films the band doing interesting things. ISLAND 50 TICKETS
At the end of last week, a small number of extra tickets went on sale for Keane's special Island Records 50th birthday gig at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on May 30th. If you're quick, you might still be able to bag some, by clicking here. Keane will be supported by Tom Tom Club and Ladyhawke (the latter has a cracking new single, Back of the Van, out this week).

This week, keanemusic.com ran an entertaining two-part interview with Mr Tom Chaplin, in which he discusses such subjects as the band's productive recent studio session with rapper K'naan; the song Tom wrote ten years ago which has been covered by Annie Lennox; and Tim trying to emulate Jay-Z at karaoke in Brisbane. KEANE IN ISLAND 50 LIST
As you may know, Keane's label, Island Records, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Keane's first album, Hopes And Fears, has been chosen from the label's huge back catalogue as one of Island's 50 best albums, in celebration of the anniversary. There is a section at island50.com dedicated to the album which gives the opportunity for fans to write their own review and upload photos. Yes, the big day has arrived - tonight, you can watch Keane performing the world's first ever live 3D webcast on keanemusic.com. It's all coming live from Abbey Road Studios in London, at 8pm UK time (click here to find out what time that is where you are). If you haven't got any 3D glasses, then click here for instructions on how to make your own.
