Q`s Best Album and Q`s Best Track
Throughout November we asked Q readers, Qthemusic.com visitors and Q Radio listeners to name their favourite albums and tracks of 2008. Click on the tabs below to view the results, read more and watch videos. The choices also tell a markedly different story to the Q writers' view of the year, which you can also see here.
BEST ALBUM OF 2008:
Keane
Perfect Symmetry
From the opening "woah" of kitschy, party single Spiralling, Keane make clear their sound, as much as their singer, has been in rehab. They have refocused and reinvented, retaining the chunky melodies and soaring, earnest vocals.
BEST TRACK OF 2008:
Keane
Perfect Symmetry
The title track from the band's third album sees the band playing their classic soaring piano pop, in contrast to some of the more experimental tracks they have
recently favoured.
