From the opening "woah" of kitschy, party single Spiralling, Keane make clear their sound, as much as their singer, has been in rehab. They have refocused and reinvented, retaining the chunky melodies and soaring, earnest vocals.

Hi folks, hope you're all having a good festive break. The big news at Keane HQ is that Perfect Symmetry has been named both Best Album of 2008 and Best Track of 2008 in a Q magazine/radio poll. The poll was voted for entirely by members of the public - so a big thanks to any of you who helped Keane win.

TOTP ON NYE
We're pleased to confirm that on New Year's Eve Keane will be appearing on a special edition of the BBC's Top Of The Pops programme performing Spiralling. The show is on BBC1 on Dec 31st at 5.35pm and promises to be a very good way to prepare yourself for 2009.

TOM BUSKING FOR CHARITY IN LONDON ON WEDNESDAY: UPDATE
