NIGHT TRAIN DETAILS
UPDATE 1/12/2009: Acording to 'Teletext', another song in the mini-album will be a instrumental, and should be called House Lights.
Today Keane announced their new EP (or mini-album): Night Train, due to be released globally on 8th May 2010. Besides, the band have confirmed a summer tour of forests in 2010, which you can check out here.
The name of the mini-album takes its title from the band's favoured mode of transport during the tour. The eight tracks were written and recorded during the Perfect Symmetry world tour.
Keanemusic.com has also confirmed a couple of tracks of Night Train, which you can see here:
· Stop For A Minute - Collaboration with Somali/Canadian rapper K'Naan.
· Looking Back - Collaboration with Somali/Canadian rapper K'Naan.
· Ishin Denshin (You've Got To Help Yourself) - Featuring Japanese MC Tigarah.
· Your Love - Featuring Tim Rice-Oxley on lead vocals.
And in this interview to Tom, another couple of tracks were confirmed:
· My Shadow - Ballad, it was a Perfect Symmetry bonus song on the Japanese edition.
· Back In Time - Described as a "thumping dance tune" on the interview.
Tickets for the shows will be available from 9am on Wednesday 2nd December through keanemusic.com, before going on general sale from Friday 4th December via 01842 814612, www.forestry.gov.uk/music and www.keanemusic.com. Tickets will be £32 (subject to booking fee).
Other tracks that are rumored to be on the Night Train EP are Sovereign Light Cafe, the song that Keane has been playing during their last gigs of their world tour, and a collaboration with Kanye West, but nothing was confirmed. The official artwork, tracklisting, singles and support shows will be announced later on the band's official website.
